This dish of Uttar Pradesh is very famous. People here make and enjoy it during various festivals. This dish is called “Fara”. It is similar to momos but has a slightly different design, and is traditionally filled with dal. However, if you make some changes in it then it will taste exactly like momos. Fara Recipe in Momos Style
To make momos style fara:
Material:
Rice flour dough: Mix 1 teaspoon salt and water and knead the rice flour dough.
Finely chop cabbage, carrot, capsicum, peas, onion and green chilli.

Add some oil in a pan, then add crushed garlic.
Add green chilli, onion, capsicum, peas, carrot and cabbage.
– Add salt and other spices as per taste and fry lightly.
Add some vinegar and cook everything well.
– Finally add green coriander and mix well.
– Divide the dough into small parts and roll small puris. – Then fill them with stuffing. Add 1 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil to about 4 cups of water and boil it. Add the flour pieces and boil for 15 minutes. When it cools down, cut the Fara into pieces.
– Heat some oil in a pan. Add cumin, green chilli, ginger and onion. Fry the onion until it turns golden brown. Add boiled fara. Add some dry mango powder, red chilli powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt in it. Fry until golden brown. Enjoy your hot and delicious fara!
