BCCI made new rules

Before Ranji Trophy, BCCI has made some changes in its rules. If a batsman retires without injury, then under the new rules he will be considered out immediately. This batsman cannot bat in that innings. BCCI has made these new rules keeping in mind the upcoming domestic tournaments. Apart from this, if a bowler spits to shine the ball while bowling, then the ball will be replaced immediately and a fine will also be imposed.

Apart from this, according to the new rule, if a batsman decides to stop the run after crossing it and the over ball reaches the boundary, then only 4 runs will be counted. BCCI has said that these rules are in accordance with ICC.

The 90th season of Ranji Trophy will be played

After Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy, Ranji Trophy has started from 11th October. This time the tournament is going to be held in 2 phases. Apart from this, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will start from 23rd November while Vijay Hazare Trophy will start from 21st December. The first round match in Ranji Trophy will be between Mumbai and Baroda. Apart from this, matches will also be played against Jammu Kashmir and Maharashtra. A match is also to be played between Hyderabad and Gujarat. 19 matches will be played on the first day.
