The college administration had banned wearing hijab some time ago. After this, the college administration has now banned the students from wearing T-shirts and torn jeans. The college administration has issued a new dress code. On Monday, students wearing T-shirts and jeans were not allowed entry. About 40 students were stopped at the gate itself.
Earlier, the matter of ban on hijab in this college had reached the Bombay High Court. Which was considered correct by the Bombay High Court. The college had said in the court that this decision is to ensure the dress code. Its purpose is not to target any religion or community.
Know what is said in the new dress code
On June 27, the college administration issued a notice regarding the new dress code. This notice is signed by the principal. It states that students are not allowed to wear torn jeans, T-shirts, open clothes and jerseys. According to a report published in the Indian Express, the college administration says that it is preparing students for the corporate world. The college says that the students were told about the dress code at the time of admission. So why are the students worried now? In the last academic session, the college introduced a uniform for students of the junior college section. Hijab was banned in it.
What type of clothes should students wear on college campus?
1 – Students must wear formal and decent attire in the college campus.
2 – Students can wear half shirt, full shirt and trousers.
3 – Girls can wear any Indian or western dresses.
4 – Students should not wear clothes that create differences between religions or cultures.
5- Masks, hijabs, burqas, stoles, caps, badges will have to be removed in the common room on the ground floor of the college. Only after this will one be able to roam around the college campus.
