All preparations to host the T10 Super League tournament in Sri Lanka have been completed. The tournament will be played in December. Most of the world's big players are expected to play in this league.

The Sri Lanka Cricket T10 Super League tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from 12 to 22 December. For the first time this tournament is going to be held in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Cricket had wanted to host a T10 tournament here for a long time. The Sri Lankan team has to play a two-Test series against South Africa. The last test match of the series will be played from 5 to 9 December. In such a situation, most of the players of the Sri Lankan team can be available in the T10 Super League tournament.

The player draft for the T10 Super League will be held on 10 November 2024 in Colombo. A total of 6 teams will participate in this tournament. Each team can have a maximum of 17 and minimum 15 players. Local and international players will be keen to perform well in this fastest format of cricket.

The last date for registration of players is 1 November. The last date for direct signing of players is 5th November. Each franchise will have to sign 6 players directly. There will be a total of 6 categories, with one player from each category to be directly contracted by the franchise. The draft will consist of 11 rounds, the first round will be determined by manual draw and the remaining rounds will be determined by a randomizer for the pick order. After this, the draft will include the selection of emerging players from Zimbabwe and West Indies countries.
