Gurjapneet Singh: Tamil Nadu fast bowler Gurjapaneet Singh performed brilliantly against Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy match yesterday. He took 6 wickets for 22 runs in the second innings. Due to which Saurashtra team was reduced to a score of only 94 runs. Only three batsmen of Saurashtra could cross double figures. He did not even allow Cheteshwar Pujara to open an account.
After brilliant bowling, Gurjapaneet Singh shared an anecdote about India's star batsman Virat Kohli. He said that before the Test series against Bangladesh last month, he had clean bowled Kohli in the net session. Then Kohli looked at him angrily. However, Gurjapaneet Singh did not celebrate after dismissing Virat. He said, I will never forget that moment in my life. After this Kohli responded by hitting a straight drive to Gurjapaneet. Later Virat also gave him advice.
Gurjapaneet Singh said, 'After clean bowling Virat, I looked at him but I could not muster the courage to look at him again. He was very angry. But then I realized that he was not angry with anyone but himself. After hitting a straight drive on the next ball, he looked at me and smiled.
Gurjapaneet shared his conversation with Virat Kohli, saying, 'Virat told me to change the angle when the ball is not moving and try to bowl around the wicket. If there is even a slight movement from this angle then the batsman will have difficulty playing this ball.
Gurjapneet Singh, a resident of Punjab, did not get many opportunities in his early career. Then he was transferred to Chennai. Gurjapaneet is greatly influenced by fast bowlers like Mohammad Amir, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Asif and Wasim Akram.
