Fatehabad, 24 October (HIST). The third Haryana State Level 'Off Ice Bandy Competition' will be organized in Fatehabad this time. This championship will be organized on 26th and 27th October at the Royal Skating Ground located at Apex School in Satish Colony. In this championship, 200 players from 12 districts in different age groups under 12, 14, 17, 19 and senior men and women will participate and showcase their sports talent. This competition will be inaugurated by Fatehabad MLA Balwan Singh Daulatpuriya as the chief guest. Haryana Bandy Association President Jai Bhagwan Sharma and General Secretary Pramod Kaushik will welcome the guests and players arriving for the competition.
Giving information about this on Thursday, Haryana Bandy Association General Secretary Pramod Kaushik said that this championship will be organized in the Under-12, Under-14, Under-19 senior categories of boys and girls. All preparations for the championship have been completed. He said that through this sports competition, we want to send a message to the entire state of Haryana that while we can keep our health healthy through sports, youth can also make their future bright by performing brilliantly in sports. He told that the game of Ice Bandy is now being liked not only in Haryana but in the entire country.
There has been a lot of interest in this game among the youth of the country. He told that earlier this game was played only in European countries but now this game has made its place in many countries of the world including India. It has also been included in Khelo India and World Games in India. Pramod Kaushik said that the winning players in this state level competition will represent Haryana in the 6th National Level Bandy Competition to be held in the month of November.
