Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while making a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, has exposed the appointments made during his tenure. Sharing shocking figures from a public platform, CM Yogi claimed how selection commissions were rigged and nepotism prevailed during previous governments. Rigging in selection commissions and dominance of officers of the same caste
In his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath raised serious questions on the working style of the previous governments. Referring specifically to an old selection list, he said that out of the total 86 SDMs selected during a special recruitment process, only 56 officers belonged to a particular caste or family. The CM alleged how the entire selection system had been hijacked and selected people were appointed to big administrative posts ignoring merit. After this revelation, discussions have become heated in the administrative circles as to how the lucrative posts were distributed to people of the same class.
Questions raised even on third division pass student becoming topper
While strongly attacking corruption and nepotism, the Chief Minister also raised questions on the transparency of examinations. He sarcastically said that in those times such strange incidents used to come to light where a student who had passed third division in academic records would directly top the competitive examinations. CM Yogi said that such systems of distributing monkeys without any qualification and merit had pushed the future of the hardworking and talented youth of the state into darkness. He said that after his government came to power, complete transparency has been brought in the Public Service Commission and other selection boards so that only eligible youth can get their rights.
There was a stir in political circles, SP and BJP face to face
After these sensational revelations, the temperature of Uttar Pradesh politics has become high. On one hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party is accusing the opposition of promoting casteism and nepotism through this issue, while the Samajwadi Party is terming these claims as a political stunt. In view of the upcoming elections, scraping the old history and keeping it before the public has become a part of the political strategy of both the parties. However, this matter related to the selection of 56 SDMs and toppers out of 86 has once again come into the center of debate and everyone is busy assessing its political profits and losses.
