Fatehabad, July 16 (HS). Fatehabad police has succeeded in arresting 14 youths who were sitting on a platform in the main market of the city, Char Marla Colony, while planning a robbery. Police has recovered a large quantity of live cartridges and cash worth lakhs along with illegal weapons from them. Some of the youths who were arrested are of criminal nature and have many cases registered against them earlier as well.
Talking to journalists on Tuesday, DSP Jagdish Kajla said that the police team of Bus Adda Chowki Incharge Sanjay Kumar was present at the old bus stand Fatehabad to prevent crime. During this time, the police received information that about 15 people are sitting with weapons on the Chaubara in front of Star Light Restaurant in Char Marla Colony, who are preparing to commit robbery. All the miscreants are planning to commit a big robbery. If a raid is conducted immediately, they can be arrested along with illegal weapons. After this information, the police team came into action. Since the place mentioned is in the populated area and the number of miscreants is high, the Chowki Incharge informed the higher authorities to avoid any untoward incident and to ensure that the general public does not suffer any harm. He requested to send additional police force to the spot. The DSP said that after this, City Police Station Incharge Ranjeet Singh reached near the old bus stand with the police team. After this, the police team cordoned off the place mentioned and raided the room built on the Chaubara of the shop and arrested 14 people from there. When the police searched them, one illegal 32 bore pistol, one 30 bore pistol, one 12 bore gun and 44 live cartridges were recovered from them.

The 14 arrested accused have been identified as Chandra Sagar alias Gharaunda resident of Ashok Nagar Fatehabad, Vikram alias Pehlwan resident of Baijalpur, Vikas Baijalpur, Mukesh alias Dhannu resident of Ashok Nagar Fatehabad, Monu alias Moni Baijalpur, Raman alias Kanti resident of Sirdhan, Sonu alias Gurdeep resident of Bighad, Parsik alias Monu resident of Baijalpur, Surendra resident of Harnam Colony Fatehabad, Deepak alias Deepu resident of Bighad Road, Ratia Colony Fatehabad, Sanyam alias Semi resident of Jagjivan Pura Fatehabad, Aman resident of Bighad Road, Kath Mandi Fatehabad, Ajay resident of Ashok Nagar Fatehabad and Sauram resident of Sundar Nagar Fatehabad. A case has been registered against all of them under various serious sections in City Police Station Fatehabad.
