Una, September 5 (HS). Inner Wheel Club Una organized a program on the occasion of Teachers' Day on Thursday at Hotel JS Plaza. Deputy Director Higher Education Una Rajendra Kaushal attended the program as the chief guest and retired Additional Secretary State School Education Board Yashpal Singh Thakur attended the program as a special guest. On this occasion, Inner Wheel Club honored 9 teachers who made exemplary contribution in the field of education in various schools of district Una with Inner Wheel Educationist Award for excellent services, while 4 teacher members of the club were also honored with certificates for their contribution in the field of education.
Addressing the program, Deputy Education Director Rajendra Kaushal termed the role of teachers as important in building a better nation. He said that teachers are the builders of the society. Teachers are the foundation of quality education. Teachers always feel proud of the success of their students. He said that Teachers' Day is an excellent opportunity to express gratitude towards one's teachers and acknowledge the deep impact teachers have on one's life. The program was also addressed by the club's president Rama Kanwar.

In the programme, Principal Harish Joshi, Principal Ravindra Kumar, Lecturer Neeraj Saund, Lecturer Balvindra Kumar, Lecturer Kehar Singh, Lecturer Rajindra Kumar, Lecturer Neeraj Saini, Lecturer Jagroop Rana and TGT Non Medical Ashwini Saini were honoured with shawl, cap, certificate and memento under the Inner Wheel Educationist Award for their commendable services in the field of education. On Teachers' Day, the club honoured four members of the Inner Wheel Club, who have rendered long services as teachers, by giving them certificates.
