Punjab Budget Session: Today is the second day of the budget session of the Punjab Assembly. Earlier, the House was adjourned for two days and the second day of proceedings is scheduled to begin this morning. Even today, opposition parties will corner the government on many issues including the farmers' movement.
Meanwhile, there will be a debate on the address of Governor Banwari Lal Purohit. When the Governor started his address at the beginning of the session, the opposition Congress created a ruckus. The Governor was not even allowed to give his full speech. The Governor concluded his address by reading the lines from the first page and the last page.
The first report of the Trade Advisory Committee will be presented after Question Hour today. Apart from this, a debate proposal will also be brought on the Governor's address. However, Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa has already made it clear that he will corner the government on Monday regarding the farmers' movement and various taxes imposed on the people of the state. Along with this, Akali Dal and BSP MLAs will also raise various issues in the House.
The session started on March 1 with the Governor's address. The government will present its budget on March 5. Next day on 6th March Budget But there will be debate. March 7 will be an unofficial day. Private bills will come on this day. There will be public holidays on 8, 9 and 10 March. Whereas the assembly proceedings are going on on March 11 and March 12.
Bills will be presented in this. March 13 and March 14 are non-official days. Personal bills will be brought on this day. Bills will also be presented on March 15. With this, the session will be adjourned indefinitely on this day.
