The last match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia was played in Sydney. Australia won this match by 6 wickets and captured the series 3-1. In this series, there were five players of Team India whose performance was very poor. Whenever the team expected good performance from these players, these players disappointed every time.

1. Virat Kohli

Team India’s most senior player Virat Kohli is considered to be the pivot of Indian batting, but Kohli has disappointed a lot in this series. Kohli scored a century in the second innings of the Perth Test, but was out after making the same mistake every time. Former greats also condemned Kohli’s poor performance, but Kohli did not learn anything from his mistake. Kohli scored 17 runs in the first innings of the Sydney Test and only 6 runs in the second innings.

2. Rohit Sharma

This tour has been very bad for captain Rohit Sharma. Due to which he had to keep himself away from the Sydney Test. Rohit could not play in the first match, but he made a comeback in the second match. Rohit proved to be a flop in the entire series. In this series, not a single half-century came from his bat.

3.Shubman Gill

Team India’s young batsman Gill played three matches in this series, but he did not get a good innings with his bat in any of the matches. Gill did not score a single half-century in this series. Gill got a chance to replace Rohit in the Sydney Test, but Gill scored only 20 runs in the first innings of the match and only 13 runs in the second innings.

4. KL Rahul

KL Rahul performed brilliantly in the Perth Test, after which Rahul was seen opening in the next match also. Rahul disappointed a lot in the remaining four matches of the series. In the first innings of Sydney Test, Rahul scored only 4 runs while in the second innings KL scored 13 runs.

5. Mohammad Siraj

Mohammad Siraj’s performance in this series was nothing special. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, no fast bowler has been able to leave his mark in this series. Siraj definitely bowled well in the Sydney Test but if we look at his performance in the entire series, it was nothing special. Siraj took 4 wickets in the Sydney Test.
