PM Modi Cabinet: After the victory of NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday (9 June). Apart from this, a total of 71 MPs took oath as ministers. Out of these, 14 faces have made a hat-trick of becoming ministers at the center. All these faces have taken oath as ministers three times in a row. This list includes the names of many veteran leaders including Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari.
Hat-trick of these 14 ministers
•Rajnath Singh: Rajnath Singh, MP from Lucknow seat of Uttar Pradesh, has become a minister at the Centre for the third time. In the first term of Prime Minister Modi, Rajnath was given the responsibility of the Home Ministry. In the second term, Singh was made the Defense Minister. He has also been the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the National President of the BJP.
• Nitin Gadkari: Age 67 years. Gadkari, who has been serving as a Union Minister in the Modi government since 2014, is the former national president of the BJP. He won the election from Nagpur in Maharashtra for the third consecutive time and became an MP.
•Jitendra Singh: Age 67 years. Won the election from Udhampur seat of Jammu and Kashmir for the third consecutive time. He has also been a Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the previous government.
•Rao Inderjeet Singh: Age 74 years. MP from Gurugram, Haryana. He was Minister of State for Planning in the previous government. During the 2014 elections, he left the Congress and joined the BJP.
•Kiren Rijiju: Age 52 years. Won the Lok Sabha elections from Arunachal West seat. He was a minister in the previous government and is considered an important face of BJP in the northeastern states.
•Sarbananda Sonowal: Age 62 years. He is the former Chief Minister of Assam and comes from the tribal community. He was a minister in the previous government. He has won the Lok Sabha election from Dibrugarh Bedak in Assam.
• Nirmala Sitharaman: Rajya Sabha MP Nirmala Sitharaman has been a minister at the Centre for three consecutive terms. She became Minister of State for Finance in 2014. In 2019, she became the Cabinet Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs.
• Gajendra Singh Shekhawat: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has also taken oath as Union Minister three times in a row. In the first term of Prime Minister Modi, he was made Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. In the year 2019, he got the responsibility of Jal Shakti Ministry. This time also he has taken oath as Cabinet Minister.
•Arjun Ram Meghwal: Arjun Ram Meghwal was made the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in the first term of Prime Minister Modi. In the year 2019, he was made Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Law and Justice.
• Anupriya Patel: Apna Dal (Sonelal) leader Anupriya Patel has also become a minister for the third time. This time too she has been given the responsibility of a Minister of State. Anupriya is an MP from Mirzapur seat of Uttar Pradesh.
• Hardeep Singh Puri: Rajya Sabha MP Hardeep Singh Puri has also taken oath as Union Minister for the third consecutive time. In 2019, he was given charge of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
•Dharmendra Pradhan: Dharmendra Pradhan, MP from Sambalpur, Odisha, took oath as Union Minister for the third consecutive time on Sunday. In 2014, he got the charge of Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and in 2019 he got the charge of Ministry of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
•Mansukh Mandaviya: Mansukh Mandaviya's name is also included in this list. For the first time, he was made Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He became the Union Health Minister in 2019.
•Shripad Yesso Naik: Shripad Yesso Naik has been a minister at the Centre since 2014. He took oath as Minister of State for the third time. In 2019, Naik was made Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
