Ayodhya: Vigilance has been increased in Ramnagari after the threat from Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Pannu has released a video threatening that there will be violence in Ram temple on 16 and 17 November. Terrorist Pannu has also threatened Chandra Arya, a Hindu MP of Indian origin in Canada. However, Punjabi Jagran does not confirm this video. After this threat, vigil has been tightened from the Ram temple here to the entire Ramnagari.

Kartik fair is going on at this time. The security system in Ramnagari is already on high alert regarding this. According to security officials, this time more devotees have come for parikrama than in previous years. Amidst the ongoing excitement regarding the fair, Pannu’s threat is being taken seriously.

DGP gave instructions, IG-SSP reviewed security arrangements

After the issue of Pannu’s threat came to light, the officials have conducted an internal review of the security arrangements in Ramnagari and have directed to increase vigilance. DGP has also given necessary instructions in this regard. IG Praveen Kumar and SSP Rajkaran Nayyar visited important places of Ramnagari and took stock of the security arrangements. Arrangements for extra vigilance have also been made in the Ram temple complex.
