Kanpur, 16 October (Hindustan Reporter). There are chances of light clouds in the next five days but there is no possibility of rain. This is the forecast of the Meteorological Department. This information was given by Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey, agricultural meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, on Wednesday.
He said that on Wednesday the maximum temperature during the day was 34.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius. However, if we talk about relative humidity, the maximum was 91 percent and the minimum was 35 percent. The average wind speed was 2.6 kilometers per hour and the wind direction was north-east.
Weather system across the country
Dr. Pandey said that the south-west monsoon has withdrawn from the entire country on Wednesday, October 16. The pressure is expected to gradually weaken into a clearly marked low pressure area off the Oman coast. Monsoon will disappear completely soon. There is a possibility of heavy rain and floods in many states including Chennai.
The low pressure over the central part of South Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression and will move west-northwestwards towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coast.
