Monsoon Weather Report: People in many parts of the country are gradually getting relief from the scorching heat. Monsoon has also arrived and is moving towards other parts at a fast pace. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted increased activity on the coast of Karnataka and Maharashtra from June 8. Apart from this, IMD has predicted thunderstorms along with rain in North-West India.
According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave is likely in parts of northern Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and eastern India. According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon has reached Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, northwest Bay of Bengal and parts of the central Arabian Sea. The Meteorological Department has also predicted that in the next 2-3 days, the monsoon will reach coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Odisha, South Chhattisgarh and the remaining parts of the northwest Bay of Bengal.
Heat wave alert again in Delhi
Talking about the capital Delhi, the weather department has predicted heat wave on Monday and Tuesday. Along with this, a yellow alert has also been issued regarding this. On the other hand, there may be light drizzle in some areas of Delhi on Saturday. This is likely to provide some relief from the heat on Sunday.
Weather condition of other parts of the country
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells is possible over Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur over Vidarbha, Sikkim, Northeast India, South Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and parts of Himachal Pradesh.
Light rain is possible over Odisha, parts of South Gujarat, East Rajasthan and Bihar and Jharkhand. Thunderstorm accompanied with dust storm is possible at many places over West Rajasthan, parts of East Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. Light rain with dust storm is possible over Delhi and adjoining areas. Hot winds are likely over isolated places over Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Odisha.
