IMD weather update: There is a possibility of change in weather in entire Jharkhand including the capital Ranchi on Sunday. The heat is increasing in the state. There will be respite from the heat in the coming three days, because a yellow alert has been issued in the state for thunderstorms and lightning in the next three days. During this time the wind speed can be 30 to 40 km per hour or even more. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to change in weather, the maximum temperature may drop by four to five degrees in the next four days.

South-eastern wind is coming through the Bay of Bengal in the state. At the same time, westerly winds keep blowing in the upper atmosphere. This will cause changes in the weather during the next 24 hours.

Besides, instructions have been given to ensure compliance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Climate Change and Human Health Program for the prevention and treatment of heat-related diseases. Here, the State Home and Disaster Management Department has also directed for widespread public awareness regarding heat wave prevention in the state. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary of the department, has sent a letter to all the departments of the state and directed them to make people aware about the measures to prevent extreme heat and to give it wide publicity. At the same time, on the instructions of the Health Department, Ranchi Civil Surgeon has started the work of putting up hoardings at various places in the city regarding protection from heat wave.
