There will be effect of cold in Punjab this week also, weather will change from tonight

The second week of March has started. In the northern states of India, people can still be seen warming themselves with bonfires on the streets at night. In fact, there is still no increase in minimum mercury in most of the states of North India. The day temperature has reached more than double the night temperature. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in North India will remain like this for the next few days.

The department believes that this is happening due to the continuous activity of western disturbances. According to the department, from Sunday night till this week once again the impact of Western Disturbance activity will continue in the North Western Himalayan region. This activity of western disturbance is going to start from late Sunday night.

According to data, the minimum mercury still remains below 10 degrees in some states of North India. Last night, the lowest temperature was recorded around seven and a half degrees Celsius in Karnal, Haryana, North India. Scientists of the department estimate that there is no possibility of increase in night temperature in the next 7 days. The night temperature in the national capital Delhi and surrounding areas including NCR is likely to remain between 10 to 13 degrees Celsius for the next one week. Whereas the maximum temperature in this area is likely to reach 30 degrees Celsius.

Scientists of the Meteorological Department believe that there will be no significant increase in night temperatures not only in Delhi NCR but also in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh. According to estimates, the minimum temperature at various places in the state is likely to be between 11 degrees to 14 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department believes that this disparity in temperature remains more than double between the maximum and minimum mercury. Scientists say that the weather may remain like this for the next one week. Explaining the reason behind this, meteorologist Alok Yadav says that in fact, western disturbance continues to be active in North-West India. This is the reason why the night temperature is not increasing very fast.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the western disturbance is going to become active again in the northwestern Himalayan region from late Sunday evening. Its effect can be seen in various states of North India by next Saturday. Scientists of the department say that the effect of activating this idea is not going to be much. This means that there will be changes in the weather for the next one week but there will be no heavy rains and storms along with heavy snowfall in the higher parts of the mountains.

Meteorological Department scientist Alok Yadav says that due to western disturbance, the cyclonic cycle will continue in many areas. Due to which light rain may occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Delhi NCR. Yadav says that, however, more than normal rainfall has been predicted in parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
