News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar Government’s Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan has prepared a roadmap for large-scale appointments to increase the efficiency of the department and to extend the benefits of the schemes to every person. The Minister has clarified that at present there is a huge shortage of employees in the department, to overcome which the process of new recruitments and deployment of officers at the district level has been expedited.
1. Which posts will be reinstated? (Vacancy Details)
According to Minister Jama Khan, the recruitment process covers posts ranging from ‘lower level’ to ‘officer level’:
Minority Welfare Officer (MWO): Appointment of officers for independent charge in each district.
Clerks: Recruitment of a large number of clerks to streamline office work.
Hostel Managers: Appointment of dedicated managers for supervision and discipline of minority hostels.
Computer Operator: Restoration of technical posts for digital functioning and data management.
2. Structure will be strengthened at the district level
The minister said that till now the department did not have its own full-time structure in many districts.
District Office: Now the offices of the Minority Welfare Department will be strengthened in all the 38 districts of the state.
Posting: The newly appointed officers will be sent on priority basis to those districts where the charge is currently with other departments.
3. What will be the recruitment process?
Jama Khan has indicated that these recruitments will primarily happen through two mediums:
BPSC and BSSC: Requisition for Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts is being sent through the respective Commissions (BPSC/BSSC).
Outsourcing (Contracting): Some technical and supporting posts can also be reinstated on contract basis for immediate work.
4. Rejuvenation of minority hostels
Along with recruitment, the minister also gave an update on other schemes of the department:
New Construction: The construction work of new minority hostels and residential schools in various parts of the state is in the final stages.
Features: Security personnel will also be deployed to provide better educational environment and security to the students living in these hostels.

The minister said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vision is to take every section of the society along. The schemes were slowing down due to shortage of personnel in the Minority Welfare Department, which we will overcome by recruitment on war footing.”
