Purnia, October 22 (HS) Sadar MLA Vijay Khemka has given the list of public utility schemes to be carried out in Purnia Municipal Corporation under the Chief Minister's Overall Urban Development Scheme in the financial year 2024-25 with the funds allocated to him, Government Minister cum Minister-in-charge Purnia Vijay. Kumar Chaudhary and a copy of which has been sent to the District Officer and Municipal Commissioner.
The MLA said that for easy transportation in the city, construction of 115 small and big roads and renovation and beautification of a dozen ponds/ghats has been recommended. Letters received from ward councilors, applications from residents and suggestions from workers have been included in this recommendation list. The MLA said that after the approval of the schemes recommended in the District Level Steering Committee on October 26, the construction of roads/drains in the city will be done soon by Budkas. The MLA said that for the overall development of the city, the Urban Development and Housing Department will also select and recommend a public utility scheme for the financial year 2025-26. The MLA said that under the NDA government, all-round development of villages and cities is continuously taking place.

MLA Mr. Khemka has asked the Municipal Commissioner to run an intensive cleanliness campaign in the city before Diwali and Chhath festival, fix street lights, clean all the ghats along with fogging, and immediately repair the system of barricading.
