Mumbai: 'Tumbbad' director Rahi Anil Barve is making the web series 'Raktabrahmand'. This series is said to be based on a Marathi book 'Vidhushak'. The series will see the two lead heroes Aditya Roy Kapur and Ali Fazal struggling for power.
Other lead actors of the film include Vamika Gabbi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This series is written by Marathi writer Ji. One. Based on Kulkarni's Marathi short story 'Vidhushak'. In the original story, after the death of the emperor, two princes vie for power and one of them chooses a jester as his advisor.
Originally it was decided to make a feature film based on this story. But, later the makers felt that the entire story was too complex and a two and a half to three hour film could not do justice to the story considering its vast canvas.
Therefore, it was decided to make a web series of six episodes.
The shooting of this series has started and there is every possibility of its release in 2025.
