Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh resigned amid the war between Israel and Hamas. Mohammad Mustafa has become the new Prime Minister in his place. Hamas currently controls Gaza, while the West Bank is ruled by the Palestinian Authority (PA). Therefore, if both the parties agree then Milli Julie National Government can be formed.
After Palestine gets a new PM, the possibility of ceasefire between Hamas and Israel has also increased. According to the information received, both sides are ready to back down from their demands. Instead of ending the war permanently, Hamas could agree to a halt for at least 6 weeks. Israel is ready to release 1000 Palestinian prisoners, of which 100 are accused of serious crimes including murder. In the last two days, talks were held in Doha, Cairo and Paris to prepare the ground for a ceasefire.
According to Israeli intelligence agency sources, Qatar has informed the leadership of Hamas that it will not hesitate to expel them from the country if they do not give up their unreasonable demands. It was also agreed that 100 Palestinian prisoners would be released in exchange for the release of Israeli kidnapping victims, including soldiers. Israeli intelligence agencies have informed the government that 32 out of 134 Israeli hostages have died. Sources in the PM's office also said that Israel will release 102 prisoners in exchange for 1,000 prisoners and will also hand over the bodies of 32 dead.
