A meeting was held in the Nainital Club auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Deepak Rawat regarding the arrangements for the annual festival to be held on June 15 at Kainchi Dham. During this, SDM Vipin Pant said that around the temple premises, use of horns, plastic, smoking, tobacco, social media, photography, videography, operation of Phad Khokha between Kainchi Dham and Bhawali, distribution of free food and beverages by various organizations or individuals along the road will be completely banned.
It was also informed that 14 places have been marked for parking in Bhawali and Garampani, where more than 1500 small and big vehicles can be parked. It was informed that vehicles coming from Bhawali, Bhimtal, Haldwani will be parked at Nainiband Bypass, Bhawali Maidan and Ranikhet Road and vehicles coming from Nainital, Jyolikot etc. areas will be parked at Masjid Tiraha, Sanatorium Bypass and vehicles coming from Garampani, Ranikhet, Almora will be parked at Garam Pani and from there sent to Kainchi Dham through shuttle service.
Senior Superintendent of Police PN Meena told that the parking places have been divided into 10 zones. Also, barricades have been placed every 100 meters in the temple premises so that people do not face problems in commuting. He informed that vehicles going from Haldwani to Almora, Ranikhet or plain areas will be sent via Ramgarh-Kwarbh, and vehicles going to Pithoragarh will be sent via Khutani, Padampuri route. More than 100 buses and 500 small vehicles have been arranged for shuttle from Bhawali and Garampani. Commissioner Deepak directed to run shuttle service from Bhimtal, Haldwani in case the parking lot in Bhawali is full.
Officials said that this time there will be a complete ban on the distribution of free food and beverages by various organizations and individuals on the roads. On this the Commissioner said that these people can distribute food and beverages in the parking lot. Along with this, he has also given instructions to make arrangements for food vans etc. for food in the parking lot. DIG Dr. Yogendra Rawat, SSP PN Meena, ADM Shiv Charan Dwivedi and officials of all departments were present in the meeting.
