Purnia, May 3 (HS). On Monday afternoon, a situation of panic arose at the Sarsi station due to sudden smoke coming out from the last bogie of the passenger train going from Purnia to Bihariganj. All the passengers got down from the train after seeing smoke coming out of the bogie. At one point, there was a situation of chaos at the station.
The fire that broke out in the last bogie of the Purnea to Bihariganj passenger train, which passed at 1:28 in the afternoon, was brought under control in 8 minutes due to the presence of mind of the passengers and railway workers. It is said that the fire broke out due to the passengers travelling in the last bogie or antisocial elements throwing cigarettes under the empty seats after smoking them.
In this matter, the guard working on this train, Jaiprakash Singh said that in this incident, there was no damage to Indian Railways and passengers.
