There was a lot of enthusiasm among the elderly regarding voting in the seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi

New Delhi, May 25 (HS). Voting is going on in all the seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi from 7 am on Saturday. Long queues are being seen at all the polling booths since morning. Along with youth and women, the elderly also showed great enthusiasm to cast their vote.

93-year-old Neema Devi, a resident of Qutub Vihar in West Delhi, is still very conscious about her vote. In the morning she got ready and went to cast her vote. Neema Devi says that she has been celebrating the festival of democracy and casting her vote for many years. Whenever elections come, she definitely goes to vote wearing new clothes. She said that there has never been a time in her life when she would not have ensured her participation in the festival of democracy. She also appealed to the youth to cast their vote.

90-year-old Ramrati, who came to cast her vote at the Delhi Municipal Corporation Girls School polling booth in Qutub Vihar, says that whether it is heat or any other work, the most important thing is to vote for the development of the country. If everyone does not exercise their right to vote by giving some excuse or the other, then they should not even complain. She says that earlier she used to go to vote with many of her friends, but now she is going to vote with her grandchildren. She especially appealed to the youth to use their vote and contribute to nation building.

Young men and women also reached the polling booth in good numbers in the morning to cast their votes. Nirmala, who stood in the queue for about an hour to vote, said that first voting, then refreshment. She said that since the first vote, she has never missed participating in the festival of democracy even once. After her morning walk, she went straight to the polling booth thinking that the crowd would be less, but there were queues at the polling booths since seven in the morning. After voting in the name of development after an hour, she will now finish her other work.
