There should be investigation into irregularities and rigging in teacher recruitment of BUI: ABVP

Jhansi, March 06 (Hindustan Reporter) A press conference was organized on Wednesday at the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) office. In the press conference, student leaders Suyash Shukla, Harsh Sharma, Harsh Jain, Harsh Kushwaha accused the university administration of irregularities and rigging in the ongoing teacher recruitment in the university.

He demanded that the recruitment process be postponed and the entire process be investigated impartially and strict action be taken against the guilty persons. For this, ABVP will go on a gradual fast from March 7.

Giving information to the journalists, he said that the recruitment process is going on through advertisement number 12/2023 24 dated 25 August 2023 issued by Bundelkhand University for appointment to about 175 posts of teachers. The teachers of the university filed case number 17405/2023 in the High Court against the said advertisement. On this, the High Court ordered the university administration to dispose of all the cases within two months. But the Bundelkhand University administration has started the appointment process without resolving the above mentioned issues and is selecting its favorites while ignoring many eligible candidates.

Garautha MLA Jawahar Lal Rajput had written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath complaining about irregularities in the above selection process. Among the results declared so far, there are many such names whose selection was the subject of discussion in the campus and outside the campus even before the announcement of the result. A teacher working in the university who has been facing serious allegations of corruption and has also been suspended in the past. His selection for the post of Acharya is also considered certain, although the result has not been announced yet.

Similarly, in the Electro Communication Department, the issue of not calling the candidates who secured top positions in the written examination for interview is also in discussion. It is necessary to investigate all these appointments being made irregularly by the university administration and punish the guilty persons. He informed that recently the university has received A+ grade by NAAC. Such incidents have not only tarnished the image of the university but will also have an adverse impact on the standard of teaching and learning in the university.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad will also hold an indefinite protest from tomorrow, March 7, in protest against this irregularity of the university administration. Despite this, if a fair investigation is not conducted then ABVP will launch a state-wide agitation. In this matter, Garautha MLA Jawaharlal Rajput has written two letters to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before and after the appointments.

Sadar MLA Ravi Sharma said that Bundelkhand University has become a looting center at present. It has become a den of corruption. He said that a Shiva procession is to be taken out on Mahashivratri and soon a procession of the corrupt will also be taken out.
