Jaipur, 6 May (HS). Governor Kalraj Mishra has said that Scout Guide cum educational activities should be effectively implemented in all the schools and colleges of the state. He said that for this, work should be done by creating an environment at all levels. On this occasion, the Governor also presented Chal Vyjayanti Shield to the Assistant State Organization Commissioner of the organization Shri Vinod Dutt Joshi for his excellent work in Scout Guide.
Governor Mishra was addressing the special meeting of Rajasthan State Bharat Scout Guides at Raj Bhavan on Monday. It was told in the meeting that under the 100-day action plan of the state government, the activities of Scout Guide groups have been made effective by registering them in 1 thousand 500 new schools. Similarly, 8 thousand 826 inactive groups were activated and more than 4 thousand teachers of higher secondary schools were trained. The efforts made for qualitative growth within this organization were also explained in the meeting.
The Governor said that it is important that Rajasthan is leading across the country in co-educational activities along with education. Along with education, he also stressed on continuous work for the development of creative abilities in students. He said that even in the new education policy, more emphasis has been given on capacity development of students.
The Governor also described the formation of residential schools for Scout Guides in Rajasthan, the only one in the entire country, and its operation as important. He also appreciated the work done by such residential schools in Jagatpura, Jaipur and Khudi, Laxmangarh, Sikar and the activities there for developing creative abilities of the students. He called for effective implementation of co-scholastic activities of Rajasthan State Bharat Scout Guide in all the funded universities and colleges of the state and taking the state to the forefront in this across the country. It was told in the meeting that at present Scout Guide activities are being conducted in more than 60 percent of universities and colleges.
The Governor also agreed to take action to organize a seven-day Scout Guide training camp for colleges and schools on the lines of Govind Guru Tribal University. He also expressed the need to take action regarding the proposals for quota money and fund collection etc. in this organization.
The Governor also stressed on providing maximum benefits to the youth through the Scout Guide Organization. He appreciated the work being done by the Scout Guide Organization in energy conservation, water conservation etc. under the National Green Core Scheme and stressed on further increasing these activities. He also described the work being done by the organization for the common people as exemplary.
In the meeting, Chief Commissioner of Scout Guides of Rajasthan, Niranjan Arya told that there is a plan to increase 20 lakh Scout Guides in the state in the next 3 years. Independent groups of 6 thousand 594 schools and colleges of the state were registered. Earlier, State Commissioner of Scout Guides Dr. Akhil Shukla and other officials greeted the Governor. State Secretary PC Jain expressed his gratitude to everyone. A large number of officials participated in the meeting, including Secretary to the Governor, Gaurav Goyal.
