Dhanbad, 22 April (HS). The protest against making Anupama Singh the Congress candidate from Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat continues unabated. On Monday, under the banner of Adivasi Mulvasi, the effigies of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Rajesh Thakur and state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir were burnt at Binod Bihari Chowk.
Ganpad Mahato, who was protesting by burning the effigy, said that Rahul Gandhi definitely takes out the Social Justice Yatra, but at the time of elections, instead of giving a chance to the local, he fields an outsider as the candidate. By making Anupama Singh its candidate, Congress is doing politics of familyism.
He said that Congress has considered the people of Dhanbad as vote bank. Tribal Mulvasi strongly opposes this decision of Congress and demands that local candidates should be made candidates for Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat.
