There is no mention of Congress's guarantees in the budget: Jai Ram Thakur

Shimla, 17 February (HS). Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, while reacting to the budget presented by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in the Assembly on Saturday, said that the government could not fulfill the announcements made in last year's budget. This time too, most of the announcements made in the previous budget have been repeated.

Jairam Thakur said that an attempt has been made to mislead people in the budget. He said that this time he will not be successful in it.

Jairam Thakur said that the people of Himachal Pradesh will reject it completely. He said that there is no relief for any section in this budget in Himachal Pradesh.

Jairam Thakur said that the Congress government has ensured MSP for milk and they had promised that buffalo milk will be priced at Rs 100 per liter and cow milk will be priced at Rs 80 per liter but the previous announcement has not been made. According to him, the prices of milk are not available yet.

The Leader of Opposition said that the Congress government closed thousands of existing and open institutions in Himachal Pradesh. No mention was made for that. There was no mention in Himachal Pradesh about what would be the ways of generating revenue?

The Leader of Opposition said that the announcement made by the Congress government for some sections of the society is only because Lok Sabha elections are to be held right after this budget.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the most surprising thing is that there is no mention of the guarantees on which Congress came to power in this budget. In the second budget also, the government has disappointed the youth of the state, women, farmers and gardeners. The people of Himachal Pradesh will respond to this lying and misleading politics of Congress.

The Leader of Opposition said that he urges the Chief Minister that instead of making announcements, there is a need to work on the implementation of the announcements. The Chief Minister is becoming a laughing stock by naming schemes after himself.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Chief Minister has broken the public trust and now the government will not be able to regain this trust. The government has completely failed. They are lying even in the name of disaster relief. Every section of the society is angry and disappointed with the government. I completely reject this budget.
