Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: NDA has got majority in Lok Sabha elections 2024 and Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time. However, BJP has faced disappointment in Maharashtra, Bengal and UP. In Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis resigned from the post of Deputy CM of the state on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the internal dispute in the party is increasing in Bengal. BJP has got only about 12 seats in the state. In 2019, they won 18. Now they are targeting each other fiercely. Many party leaders fiercely targeted the state in-charges but did not name anyone.
Three-time MP and re-elect from Bishnupur Lok Sabha seat, Saumitra Khan said that many BJP leaders had a secret alliance with TMC. Otherwise, such a result would not have come. This happened at the local level, district level and state level. Such a result cannot come without such manipulation. When the seats in the state decreased, many veteran leaders also lost. Leaders like Dilip Ghosh, Nisith Prasnik, Locket Chatterjee, Subhash Sarkar and Debashree Chaudhary lost from Bengal. Ghosh said, betrayal and conspiracy are also a part of politics. I worked hard from my side but the result was opposite.
Many workers did not come out. The party is not moving forward since its defeat in the 2021 assembly elections here. Those responsible here need to think. Under the leadership of former MP and former BJP president Dilip Ghosh, the party got 18 seats in 2019. This time he himself was contesting the Lok Sabha elections. But he lost to TMC's Kirti Azad. BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul also lost from Midnapore seat.
Sukant Majumdar's clarification on Dilip Ghosh's allegations
State president Sukanta Majumdar said that we did not expect such a result. I did not think that Ghosh would lose. My whole family is in shock. He is our leader but he lost against Azad. I do not take every decision but being the president I take responsibility. He was referring to Ghosh's allegation in which he had asked that whoever brought me here should answer. Majumdar said that he accepts such a result. Majumdar himself won from Balurghat seat by 10 thousand votes.
Shubhendu Adhikari also came under attack, why is he surrounded after defeat?
On Dilip Ghosh's allegations, Majumdar has put the responsibility on Shubhendu Adhikari and said that he does not take all the decisions. Party sources say that he was referring to Adhikari. He is the leader of the opposition in the state assembly. He defeated Mamata Banerjee from the Nandigram assembly seat in 2021. The dependence of the central leadership on Adhikari has increased. This has led to tension and stress in the state unit.
