Karachi Terror Attack: An attack alert has been issued to the anti-encroachment police in Karachi, Pakistan. It is being said that a terrorist attack can take place in Karachi on the day of Muharram. Karachi's Deputy Superintendent of Police Tariq Islam has banned any policeman from going alone on official duty on the day of Muharram.
Tariq Islam has issued information saying that government officials in Karachi can be targeted during Muharram. Officials have been asked to travel in police vans during duty and avoid wearing uniforms and shoes after work is over.
Security forces are deployed in these areas
Prior to this notification, last Monday, the government had approved the deployment of armed forces across the country to ensure security during Muharram. The government deployed troops to maintain law and order through authorities in Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. The Pakistan government has deployed army personnel under Article 245 to ensure peace in the country.
The Home Ministry of Pakistan says that the deployment of the army will be based on the ground situation and the states will have the right to decide the deployment locations. Let us tell you that earlier the Punjab government of Pakistan had asked the Home Ministry to suspend social media platforms from 6 to 11 July during Muharram.
502 location sensitive
According to Pakistani media reports, many steps are being taken regarding security in the country. It has been told that there are 502 such places in Pakistan which are sensitive and Army and Rangers personnel have been deployed at these places. However, this festival holds great importance for Shia Muslims. In such a situation, communal violence often occurs between the Sunni and Shia community in the country.
