Ramgarh, 4 November (Hindustan Reporter). Preparations of Ramgarh District Police for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections have been completed. Voting takes place in Barkagaon Assembly on 13 November. A large area of which falls in Patratu block, Ramgarh district. A list of criminals who influenced this election has also been prepared with photos. On Monday, Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said that a strict vigil has been kept on the criminals. Be it criminals lodged in jail or criminals roaming outside, action is certain against all. He told that the district has got 6 companies of Central Police Force. Apart from this, DAP jawans, home guards and watchmen have also been prepared for the elections. With the help of all this, action has been taken against more than 350 people under sections 126 and 107 of the Indian Justice Code. Bond on action has been taken against more than 200 people. Action has been taken against 40 criminals under surveillance. 12 criminals have been transferred to the district. More than 35 criminals are instructed to attend the police station every day. There are two criminals in jail who intend to influence the elections. But action is being taken against those people also under CCA.
Central Police Force roaming around the booth
SP said that the Central Police Force is continuously visiting all the booths of Ramgarh district. The district police is also getting strength from this. Besides, the police force is also gaining confidence in voting on the election day. Strict security arrangements are already being made to ensure that criminals do not influence the elections in any way. Police force is also present at all the check points to crack down on illegal liquor and criminals.
Drugs worth Rs 4.75 crore have been seized
SP Ajay Kumar said that in the operations so far, narcotics worth Rs 4.75 crore have been seized. Illegal liquor seized from the check post and liquor being sold illegally in various areas have also been caught by the police. Besides, drug dealers have also been arrested.
Strong room will be protected in two layers
SP said that along with the booth, security of the strong room is also very important in the elections. Therefore, the security of the strong room built in Ramgarh College has been prepared in two layers. Apart from this, Ramgarh police station and traffic police have been deployed at the main entrance. CCTV cameras have been installed in the strong room so that there is no lapse in security at any level. In the first phase of elections, Ramgarh Police will be ready to provide security to 221 polling stations along with 89 critical booths.
