There is a risk of misuse if AI comes to unskilled people: PM Modi

He said that AI is a very useful technology. A big revolution is coming from this. But if it falls into the hands of unskilled and inexperienced people, there is a great danger of its misuse. Its ill effects are already visible. Dos and don'ts should be clarified and feature of watermark in AI generated content should be made mandatory. This will prevent misuse and misinformation. Deepfakes caused by AI cause huge losses to society.

The Prime Minister described AI as a unique experience. At the Tamil event in Kashi, they used AI tools to talk to native speakers in Tamil. He spoke in Hindi, but they understood everything in Tamil. He said that AI technology should not be seen as magic. It should not be used even due to laziness. One must know when to use it. He said: I should compete with ChatGPT. I will try to go beyond AI.

PM Modi linked technology to overall development and said that technology will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the country. Especially technology is playing a huge role in women empowerment. Using technology to improve the quality of life of girls is a priority. The central government is providing funds to indigenous scientists to find a cure for cervical cancer. Technology will help in this. The Prime Minister said that while AI and technology will play an important role in the overall development of the country, AI will bring the biggest change in the fields of agriculture, education and health. AI will bring revolutionary changes in children's education. It is not correct to say that village women only graze cows and buffaloes. She has now also become a drone pilot.
