Haridwar, 24 August (HS). A legal awareness camp was organized in Divine Nursing College under the aegis of Bhartiya Jagrukta Samiti and All Indian Jagriti Women's Conference. In the camp, the committee's chairman and High Court advocate Lalit Miglani, Sub Inspector Anjana Chauhan, Traffic Inspector Arvind Rana, PTC Inspector Pritam Singh and Sub Inspector Sanjay Gaur gave information to the students about various laws.

Advocate Lalit Miglani told the students in detail about FIR and the written complaint for it. He said that if the police station does not register the FIR, then a complaint is made to the SSP of the district. Even then, if there is no hearing, an application is given in the CJM court of the district. He said that now there is a provision of Zero FIR in the new law. Under which FIR can be registered anywhere.

Traffic Inspector Arvind Rana informed the students about traffic rules. He told that helmet and seat belt must be used while driving. Minors are not allowed to drive. If caught, there is a provision of fine up to 25 thousand, vehicle seizure and imprisonment of parents. Sub Inspector Anjana Chauhan told about women's law that in the new law, the provision of punishment in crimes related to women has become strict. If any crime is committed against a woman, then you can call 1090 and 112 and ask for help from the police. Immediate action will be taken on the complaint by keeping your identity secret. Inspector Pritam Singh and Sub Inspector Sanjay Gaur gave information about the new law BNS, BNSS and Indian Evidence Act.
