There is a need to stop the blind race of going abroad among the youth | News India

Youth are the capital of the country. The future of the country depends on them. They are the builders of a good society and lay the foundation of the country's progress and prosperity. But it is the misfortune of our country that even after getting expensive education, the youth are not getting jobs. Every year millions of young boys and girls enter the job market after completing their education. The number of unemployed in our country is increasing every year.

There is resentment among them due to not getting employment even after education. Dirty politics, polluted environment and corrupt system is prevalent everywhere in the country. There is a huge lack of proper governance in India. Youth are worried about their future due to not getting proper job even after education.

Most of the youth want to get a government job after completing their education, but it is not possible for every youth to get a government job. Seeing that nothing is happening for them in the country, the youth are running towards foreign countries. They have made it their dream to go abroad and they are going abroad by taking loans and selling their lands. These youth who go to countries like Canada, America, Australia, New Zealand etc. fly for graduate courses as soon as they pass 12th class from their country. Educated scientists and engineers of India are leaving the country in large numbers.

9.5 lakh Indian scientists and engineers have gone to America alone. According to another report, the number of scientists and engineers going from India increased by 8.5 percent from 2003 to 2013. 9% of the people in Australia are Indians. In 2006, the number of people of Indian origin in Australia was 15,300, which increased to 40,145 in 2016.

Punjabi youth want to make their future bright by living in other countries. They take help of study visa, visitor visa, point based visa etc. to go abroad. More than three lakh students of Punjab take IELTS exam every year.

The number of students studying in Australia has increased by 27%, while in some universities in Canada this number is more than 75% compared to last year. The Indian and Punjab governments should make efforts to stop this trend.
