Mandsaur, 9 July (HS). An important meeting of the Nagarpalika Jalkar Samiti was held on Tuesday at the new filter plant situated in the Ramghat premises. They were felicitated in the dignified presence of Nagarpalika President Smt. Ramadevi Banshilal Gurjar and Chairman of the Jalkar Samiti Nilush Jain. In this meeting, the lack of water inflow in the Shivna river due to insufficient rainfall in the Mandsaur city and district was reviewed.
Municipal Chairperson Mrs. Gurjar and Chairman Mr. Jain reviewed the distribution arrangement due to lack of sufficient rainfall in the Mandsaur city and its surrounding areas till the first week of July. Municipal employee Nisar Mohammad said in the meeting that there has still not been sufficient rainfall in the upper regions of the Shivna river. The reason for this is that there is very little water in all the water sources of the Shivna river. Even in such a situation, the Municipal Council is distributing water for about an hour every alternate day. There is still water in the Kalabhatta and Ramghat water sources of the Municipal Corporation as per the current requirement.
After extensive discussions in the meeting, it was decided that the municipality will maintain the current distribution system that the manager has made till July 20. If there is not enough rain till July 20 and sufficient rainwater does not fall in the Ramghat and Kalabhatta dams of the Shivna river, then a review will be done again on July 20 and whatever decision is appropriate will be taken.
Napa Jalprada Branch Clerk Mohammad Shahid said that the municipality is currently getting water from Chambal Project Scheme. 18 litres of water is coming from Chambal Kolvi every day. Keeping in mind the emergency situation, the municipality has paid 9 punitive liabilities.
In the meeting, Nagar Palika Chairperson Smt. Gurjar directed that in case of emergency, a work plan of Nagar Palika employees should be made as to where all the activities can be done and it should be presented in the next meeting. If there is a need to take water from other wells in addition to the acquired wells, then keep ready the information of other wells which have sufficient water. Wherever there is a problem of water, pipeline and other necessary works are done immediately. The way linemen are working hard, they should continue to perform their duties in the same way. Many employees including Dharmesh Rao, Sharif Pathan, Vijay Parmar, Sohanlal, Narendra Khamesara, Badri Bhavsar were also present in the meeting.
