Weather Update: Due to the slow pace of monsoon in Punjab, the heat has started increasing once again. During the last 24 hours, the average temperature of the state has increased by 1.1 degrees for the third consecutive day, due to which the temperature of the state has become 1.6 degrees more than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, people will have to suffer from severe heat for two more days.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there is no forecast of rain in most areas of the state today i.e. Monday and Tuesday. But there may be rain in some areas around Himachal, although the possibility of this is also very low. The temperature will increase further, due to which people will be troubled by humidity.

There is a possibility of rain on July 17. No alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department yet, but it is estimated that half of Punjab may receive rain on the 17th. Pathankot, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar and Nawanshahr are likely to receive rain.

The temperature in Punjab has once again reached close to 40 degrees. On Sunday evening, the maximum temperature in Pathankot was recorded at 39.9 degrees. While the temperature in Patiala was recorded at 38.2 degrees and in Gurdaspur at 38 degrees. If the heat continues like this, then the temperature may cross 40 degrees today.
