Kanpur, 06 November (HS). The joint police team of Naubasta police station and surveillance arrested two youths on Wednesday while disclosing the theft worth lakhs that took place in the mobile shop of a BJP leader's brother. 23 new mobile phones, two tablets and Rs 1100 in cash have been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police South Manoj Kumar Pandey.
He told that among the arrested accused are Rakesh Pasi, resident of Laxman Kheda village of Sadh police station area of Kanpur city and Kanhaiya Gautam, resident of Panipurwa village of the same police station area. During interrogation, the accused told that on October 24, new mobiles, old mobiles, tablets and mobile accessories were stolen from Bauwa Telecom located on Naubasta Hamirpur Road.
It is noteworthy that on October 24, lakhs of rupees were stolen from Bauva Telecom located on Hamirpur Road in Naubasta police station area. A police case was registered in this regard and two police teams were deployed to uncover the matter. With the help of CCTV footage and surveillance, the joint police team of Inspector-in-charge Naubasta Santosh Kumar Singh and Surveillance Cell South in-charge Ajay Gangwar arrested the two accused and completely recovered the mobile, tablet and other items. But the entire cash has not been recovered. Legal action was taken against both of them and they were sent to jail. The police team that reveals the matter will be rewarded.
