The world's oldest twins, Lori and George, living in America, have died at the age of 62. Leibensperger Funeral Home in the American state of Pennsylvania said that both of them breathed their last at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital on the night of April 7. However, the cause of his death has not been revealed yet.
The Guinness Book of World Records (GWR) also confirmed the death of Lori and George through a post on social media. Guinness Book of World Records wrote, 'We are saddened to hear the news of his demise. George was a successful singer and Lori was a bowling champion.
George and Lori were born on September 18, 1961. The skulls and blood cells of both were partially fused. Both shared 30% of the brain. However, despite all this, Lori and George had different genders and careers. Although George and Lori were engaged to each other, neither of them let this problem come in the way of their careers.
In an interview on her 50th birthday in 2007, Lori said, “At the time of our birth, doctors feared we would only live to be 30 years old. But we proved them wrong.” George had spina bifida and was 4 inches shorter than Lori. Both attended a public high school and completed college together.
In 2007, George and Lori became the world's first twins of different sexes. George and Lori said that even though they were physically connected, they had different shower schedules. He used the curtain as a barrier while bathing. For this reason, when one person performed Wudhu, the other stood on the other side of the curtain. George and Lori also said that they never want to separate. He believed that they were not broken and therefore did not need fixing.
