The world's largest airport is going to be built in Dubai. Its name will be Al Maktoum International Airport. On Sunday, Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum approved the new passenger terminal. He said that the world's largest airport will be built in Dubai. It will develop as a global centre.

The construction of the airport will cost about 35 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 2.9 lakh crore. This airport will have five parallel runways. Apart from this, there will be 400 aircraft gates. The capacity of the airport will be 26 crore people annually. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum said in a post on Twitter that the new project “will ensure sustained and stable development for our children and their children.” Dubai Airport is considered one of the busiest airports in the world. In 2022, the airport was used by 66 million passengers. This move will further strengthen Dubai's position as a major aviation hub globally.
