The engine of this bike with a 125cc petrol engine generates 9.5PS of power and 9.7Nm of torque. Since this bike runs mainly on CNG, the company has provided only a 2-liter petrol fuel tank in it. Which will work as a reserve fuel in a way.

The company claims that this bike gives a driving range of up to 330 km on a full tank (petrol + CNG). Which gives a mileage of 102 km in 1 kg CNG and 67 km in 1 liter of petrol.

Bajaj Auto has also started booking the Bajaj Freedom 125. The price of the base 'drum' variant of the bike starts at Rs 95,000. This bike passed 11 different tests

During the launch of Bajaj Freedom 125, the company released a video claiming that the bike has passed 11 different tests. In one test, the bike was subjected to a 'truck rollover test' in which the CNG tank remained intact and maintained pressure even after being crushed under the truck's tyres.

What did Nitin Gadkari say on the launch of CNG bike?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was present at the launch event, stressed the importance of reducing India's crude oil import bill and promoting alternative fuels. When it comes to the development of the automobile industry, he expressed pride that India has overtaken Japan to become the third largest automobile market. Apart from this, the price of the bike is Rs 1,000. He also made a statement to keep it below 1 lakh. So this bike will become even more popular in the country.

The Union Minister said, “CNG vehicles are cheaper and better for the environment than conventional petrol bikes. The operating cost of the new Bajaj bike is 50 per cent less than ICE bikes, and its average mileage is also higher. So people will get their money back within a year.”
