Dehradun, 27 July (HS). Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said on Saturday that Ayushman cards of maximum number of people are to be made in the state. Authority officials will visit the districts where fewer cards have been made and will encourage them to achieve the target.
In a review meeting held in the State Health Authority Auditorium on Saturday, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that special attention needs to be paid to those districts where less than 70 percent Ayushman cards have been made. In order to speed up the campaign to make Ayushman cards, officials have been given responsibilities for coordination in districts like Haridwar, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Chamoli etc. The target will be set by holding a meeting with the district officials. He said that the cooperation of Panchayati Raj, Child Development, Social Welfare, Education and Food and Supplies Department will also be taken in this work. A meeting of Chief Medical Officers of all districts will be called for mutual coordination. The target was given to make at least 1500 Ayushman cards per day.
The minister said that hospitals doing excellent work in the state should be declared green channels. He directed the officials for this. He said that if any private hospital in the hill districts applies for listing, then support them.
In the meeting, there was also a discussion on inclusion of employees and pensioners of autonomous institutions under the State Health Scheme. Chief Executive Officer of State Health Authority Dr Anand Shrivastava, Director Dr BS Tolia, Atul Joshi etc were present in the meeting.
