Haridwar, 9 August (HS). On the occasion of August Revolution, a program was organized in the college to honour the freedom fighters and Uttarakhand state movement activists by paying homage at the Shaurya Wall.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the College Management Committee, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj said that the welfare of the nation can be ensured only by following the ideals of the freedom fighters. He called for India to become a developed nation only by inculcating the values of freedom, equality and fraternity in the society. On this occasion, the college family was congratulated for organizing the program of August Revolution in the college.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Sunil Batra said that the Quit India Movement was started on 09 August 1942 and today the need is that we as a nation should imbibe the values and concerns of the Quit India Movement in the modern society. On this occasion, he recalled the contribution of various social groups of India, especially the political leadership of India like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in the Quit India Movement.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Prof. Sunil Batra said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra was started by giving the tricolor to the college family and college students. Explaining the importance of the movement, he said that today the young generation should know that after how many struggles this country has got independence and along with this, they should understand the importance of national unity, an important part of national life. Earlier, Balkishan, son of late freedom fighter Doli Ram, was honored by the college by presenting him a shawl.
On this occasion, Prof. Jagdish Chandra Arya, Dr. Nalini Jain, Mrs. Rinkal Goyal, Mrs. Richa Minocha, Dr. Purnima Sundariyal, Vineet Saxena, Dr. Raghavendra Singh, Dr. Padmavati Taneja, Mohan Chand Pandey, Hemvati, Monu Rana, Vishal Kumar, Sushil Rathore and many students of the college were present.
