Gorakhpur, August 20 (HS). The Vice Chancellor of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Prof Poonam Tandon unveiled the logo of the 43rd convocation to be held at the university.
The logo created by Shakti Singh, BA 3rd semester, D.U.Gov.V., who got the first prize in the competition organized by the university, was selected. On this occasion, monitoring committee coordinator Prof. Nandita Singh, Registrar Prof. Shantanu Rastogi, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Anubhuti Dubey, logo competition coordinator Prof. Sudha Yadav and members of the logo committee were present.
A competition was organized for the selection of the logo of the 43rd convocation for the students of the university and affiliated colleges. A total of 86 entries were received in this competition. The decision of this competition was held on 17.08.2024 at 05.00 pm under the able guidance of Prof. Nisha Jaiswal, well-known miniature artist and retired Professor of Political Science, Gorakhpur University. On this occasion, the cooperation of Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahni, co-coordinator of the logo competition and members Dr. Pradeep Rajoria, Dr. Deepa Srivastava was received. Dr. Gauri Shankar Chauhan, Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Pandey and Dr. Girjesh Kumar Verma provided special support.
Following are the details of the winning participants of this competition-
1- First Prize: Shakti Singh, BA 3rd Semester, D.U.Gov.V., Gorakhpur.
2- Second Prize: Julie Chauhan, B.A. 2nd Semester, Mahant Ramashankar Das High School Vishnupur, Rampur Pandey, Khajni, Gorakhpur.
3-Third Prize: Akash Kumar, BA 3rd Semester, DDU University, Gorakhpur. 4-Consolation Prize: Devanshu Lal Agrahari, BA 5th Semester, DDU University, Gorakhpur. 5-Consolation Prize: Abhishek Kumar Jaiswar, MA 4th Semester, DDU University, Gorakhpur. 6-Consolation Prize: Mr. Aftab Alam, BA 3rd Semester, DDU University, Gorakhpur. Only students of the University and its affiliated colleges participated in this competition. Participants were asked to make their designs in the size of 10 inches by 10 inches or in a circle of 10 inches diameter. This design should have the university's motto (आ नो भद्राह कत्वो यंत्व विश्वताह) and the emblem and the 43rd convocation or 43rd convocation in the design and NAAC Accredited A++ and CGPA 3.78.

A maximum of three colours were to be used in the design. The first, second and third prize winners will be given incentives of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively and a certificate. Three consolation prize winners will also be given certificates.
