Mirzapur, 04 November (HS). On the occasion of Bhaiya Dooj, the traditional Bharat Milap Shobha Yatra was organized by Shribal Bharat Milap Ramlila Committee late on Sunday evening. This union of Bharat and Ram is a symbol of brotherhood and sacrifice, which has been celebrated with the same reverence since time immemorial.

Under the direction of Shribal Bharat Milap Ramlila Committee, in this procession that started from Durgadevi Mohalla, Lord Shri Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan along with Mother Sita and Hanuman gave darshan to the townspeople. The townspeople bowed to Lord Shri Ram by showering flowers.

The procession started from Durgadevi and concluded after reaching Durgadevi via the main roads of the city, Tulsi Chowk, BLJ Road, Gudhatti, Pandariva, South Gate, Trimohani, Pasarhatta, Ghantaghar. The attractive tableaus of the deities and Keenaram's throne were the center of special attraction. A huge crowd of townspeople gathered to have the darshan of Lord Ram along with his brother and mother Sita. During the procession, Chairman of Municipal Council Mirzapur Shyamsundar Keshari performed the aarti of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram on the stage of Shri Ram Seva Samiti.
