Jaipur, 9 August (HS). Jawahar Kala Kendra organized a tribal festival on the occasion of Tribal Day on Friday. On this occasion, 65 artists presented a play depicting the beauty of tribal culture.

A mesmerizing dance and singing performance was given. Art lovers enjoyed the tribal song singing, Hela Khayal, Kanhaiya Khayal, Pad Dangal singing performance.

Dressed in traditional attire, the artists gathered in the dome area of the centre. Here they gave a glimpse of their performance with the tune of musical instruments. After this, everyone reached Rangayan. Here the artists first presented tribal song singing. After this, the famous dance of Jadol village, Ghumra dance, which is performed in the month of Falgun, attracted everyone's attention.

After this Kanhaiya presented Dangal and Hela Khayal. During this he narrated the ancient story of 'Shyama and Gopal' in his own style in Chaupais. This story is the story of a brother and sister, the essence of which is that Shyama asks for a shawl from her sister-in-law to go to the fair and her sister-in-law gives it to her on the condition that if it gets stained then she will get the shawl dyed with her blood. Eventually the Chundari gets dirty and Shyama's brother Gopal cuts his sister's head and dyes the shawl. In a short while her brother Gopal also dies. Since Shyama was a devotee of Chauth Mata, the mother incarnates and revives her but even then she asks for a boon for life for her brother.
