Rudraprayag, July 12 (HS). There is anger among the Tirtha Purohit community and the people of Kedarghati regarding the construction of a symbolic temple of Kedarnath in Delhi. They say that after the death of Kedarnath MLA Shailarani Rawat in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami went straight to Delhi immediately after paying tribute to her and laid the foundation stone for the construction of Kedarnath temple there. Laying the foundation stone of Kedarnath temple in this way before the last rites of Kedarnath MLA is no less than a misfortune. The angry Tirtha Purohit community and local people raised slogans against CM Dhami in Ukhimath on Friday and demanded an early clarification in the matter. Along with this, CM Dhami was also accused of doing Garhwal-Kumaon politics.

On July 10, Kedarnath Dham Bhoomi Pujan ceremony was organized by Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust Delhi in Burari Delhi. The day before this event was held, Kedarnath MLA Shailarani Rawat also passed away late night on July 9. In such a situation, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami first paid tribute to the late MLA Shailarani in Dehradun and then left for Delhi. Here he participated in the foundation stone laying program organized for the construction of Kedarnath Dham being built by Shri Kedarnath Dham Trust Delhi. Some Tirtha Purohits were also present in the tribute meeting organized in Dehradun, so they saw the CM leaving for Delhi. When the Tirtha Purohits reached Kedarghati, they gave all the information to the Tirtha Purohit community and the people of Kedarghati. After which there is anger among the Tirtha Purohit community and the people of Kedarghati about the construction of Kedarnath Dham in Delhi.

Santosh Trivedi, Vice President of Chardham Mahapanchayat, said that after the death of the Kedarnath MLA, even before his last rites, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami went to Delhi and laid the foundation stone for the construction of Kedarnath Dham. It is a matter of great misfortune that the foundation stone for the construction of the temple was laid in Delhi at the time of the death of the MLA of Kedarnath area. By taking the stone from Kedarnath Dham and installing it in Delhi, CM Dhami has tampered with the tradition of the Dham. This will be strongly opposed.

Forest Panchayat Sarpanch Pawan Rana alleged that Chief Minister Dhami is discriminating against the Garhwal region. By making registration mandatory for the Kedarnath Dham Yatra, thousands of pilgrims were sent to the Kumaon Dhams. Due to this, there was a huge decrease in the number of pilgrims visiting the Kedarnath Dham. He said that the government has not made any concrete efforts regarding the employment of the people of the Garhwal region, efforts are being made to snatch away the employment that is due to the Kedarnath Dham.
