The thrill of IPL 2025 will not be seen on Jio Cinemas
The thrill of IPL 2025 will not be seen on Jio Cinemas this time. The agreement between Reliance Company and Disney India is approximately Rs. The deal has been finalized for Rs 71,455 crore. The deal between the two companies was finalized in February 2024. According to the report, all the major sporting events coming on Jio Cinema will now be available on Disney+Hotstar. However, no official statement has come out yet in this regard. Jio Cinemas currently holds the hosting rights of IPL, English Premier League and Pro Kabaddi League. At the same time, the broadcast rights of ICC tournaments are with Disney + Hotstar.
Why was this step taken?
Since Disney Plus Hotstar has better live streaming technology, the hosting rights of all sporting events are being transferred from Jio Cinema to Hotstar. It is believed that by January 2025, live streaming of all sports events will shift from Jio Cinema to Hotstar.
