Ranchi, 24 August (HS). The state level Nehru Cup Hockey Competition 2024-25 organized at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Stadium in Morhabadi, Ranchi concluded on Saturday. State Education Minister Baidyanath Ram, State Program Officer Dhirasen Soreng, Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Bholanath Singh, former hockey Olympian cum hockey coach Manohar Topno, Major Dhyanchand Awardee hockey coach Sumrai Tete, former international hockey player cum coach Birendra Lakra, Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Kumar Singh, Hockey Jharkhand CEO Rajneesh Kumar attended the closing ceremony as chief guests.

Final result of under 17 girls hockey match

In the Under 17 Girls Hockey Match, the team of Mukhyamantri Utkrisht Balika Vidyalaya, Simdega defeated the team of Bariatu Girls Chief Minister Utkrisht Vidyalaya, Bariatu, Ranchi by 2-0 and won the title of champion. After the match, Reena Kullu of Simdega got the Final Man of the Match award. Telani Nag of Hazaribagh was given the Best Goalkeeper award. Manju of Khunti was given the Best Scorer award.

Final result of under 17 boys hockey match

In the under 17 boys hockey match, the team of Laxmi Narayan Plus Two High School, Murhu, Khunti defeated the team of Nirmala High School Khalijore, Simdega by a margin of 4-1 and won the title of champion. After the match, Sachin Bhengara of Khunti got the Final Man of the Match award. Arun Oraon of Gumla was given the Best Goalkeeper award. Anoop Tirki of Khunti got the Man of the Series award. Sachin Bhengara of Khunti was given the Best Scorer award.

In the under 15 boys hockey match, the team of Saint Mary's High School, Samtoli, Simdega defeated the team of SS Plus Two High School, Kakriya, Ranchi by a huge margin of 8-0 and won the title of champion. After the match, Sumit Oraon of Ranchi got the Final Man of the Match award. Ismit Dungdung of Simdega was given the Best Goalkeeper award. Emmanuel of Khunti got the Man of the Series award. Sumrai Soreng of Simdega was given the Best Scorer award.

Colourful closing ceremony

A colourful closing ceremony of the state level Nehru Cup Hockey Competition 2024-25 was organised. In the ceremony, the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Kanke presented a captivating traditional dance. Artists from Ranchi presented Nagpuri folk dance and traditional instruments.
