According to sources, two accused arrested in the case, Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) told during police interrogation that when they were going to Bhuj by train after reaching Surat, they threw the weapon. There was a railway bridge on Tapi river.

The duo allegedly opened fire outside Khan's house at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area on April 14 and then fled on a motorcycle. Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot said that the Mumbai Crime Branch team has come to Surat to recover the gun used by two people for firing at Salman Khan's house. Our teams are helping Mumbai Police in recovering weapons.

Another officer said that senior police inspector Daya Nayak, popularly known as 'encounter specialist', was also present with a team of Mumbai Crime Branch, which was searching for weapons in the waters of Tapi river here with the help of local divers and fishermen. Was.

According to media reports, on April 16, joint teams of Mumbai and Kutch police arrested two accused, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, from a temple complex near Bhuj city of Gujarat. He was later handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation. After the firing at Khan's house in Mumbai on 14 April, Gupta and Pal reached Surat by road.

Mumbai Police has said that Gupta and Pal were allegedly receiving instructions from two brothers of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Central Jail in another case but his brother is believed to be in Canada or the US, an official had earlier said.
