Late in the evening, it was also reported that the houses of about a dozen people collapsed in Month town. The havoc of rain was continuing till the time the news was written.

Due to the torrential rain that has been going on for the last 24 hours, almost all the colonies of the city including Mehndi Bagh, Shivaji Nagar, Pani Wali Dharamshala, Pathoria, Laxman Ganj, Nai Basti, Unnao Gate, Datia Gate, Sipri Bazaar, Talpura, Kachcha Pal, Sipri, Premnagar, Garia Phatak, Dadhiya Pura, Bada Gaon Gate Bahar got submerged. Streams of rivers were seen in the streets and ponds were seen in many colonies. The drains exposed the Municipal Corporation and dumped all the garbage on the banks and told that the cleaning was done only on paper and not in reality. A river-like scene was seen in the streets of Matwana locality of Gursaraay. In one street, the idol of Lord Ganesha was placed inside a pandal. That pandal was also filled with water. A group of youths were busy saving the pandal from being washed away amidst the river-like waves. Record 100 mm rainfall occurred

This time, Jhansi received less rainfall than predicted by the weather department. Less than average rainfall was recorded in June, July and August. Due to less rainfall, the humid heat bothered. According to Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bharari, from Tuesday evening till 8:30 am today, 72.4 mm of rain has occurred. After this, about 25 mm of rain has occurred till 12 noon. The rain is likely to continue for the next two days. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall for two days.

Dr. Aditya Kumar Singh, meteorologist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bharari, says that the western disturbance and low pressure area have covered Bundelkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Delhi. Due to this, there is heavy rain in Jhansi. By 8:30 am today, 72.4 mm of rain has already occurred. Due to heavy rains today and tomorrow, about 150 mm of rain may occur. Heavy rains can cause a lot of damage to crops.
